In the modern era computers has become an integral part of human life. Techniques of using the computer are of utmost importance. A well-equipped computer lab is the nerve centre of computer education in the school to keep pace with the fast changing IT scenario.
The computers in the Senior lab have been upgraded with appropriate software to enable students of classes XI and XII to compile and run programs in Java with net beans and C++ along with Flash-8 applications as per the syllabus. The Junior and Sub-Junior Computer Labs, on the other hand, enable students to learn VB.net, Corel Draw, Java, Adobe Flash, Kid pix, Logo, Paintbrush, MS-Office, etc.
At every stage in life, we are connected to different aspects of chemistry directly or indirectly. It encircles a variety of fields –agriculture, food, medicine, fertilizers, polymers, metals etc. Thus, the knowledge of chemistry is useful in different aspects of human life.
Our chemistry lab is well equipped with chemicals and other apparatus to cater to the needs of all the students up to class 12. Students start using the chemistry lab from class 6 onwards. They show great enthusiasm in using chemicals and perform hands on experiments. The lab has an excellent safety system with fire extinguishers and a shower cum eye washer equipment.
The lab inculcates curiosity and inquisitiveness in students. It plays a very important role in developing a scientific temperament in our students.
The laboratory provides the students with all sorts of facilities, ranging from specimens to skeletons. The laboratory is quite spacious and is creatively decorated by the students. We have permanent anatomical slides of plants. The lab consists of simple and compound microscopes for the students to focus and study slides. The ratio of these microscopes per student is fairly high. We have measuring devices, like analytical balance. Also the laboratory has a variety of apparatus for physiological and ecological experiments, like oven and Digital PH Meter. We have fire extinguishers in case of an emergency. Through experiments, students are able to gain first hand knowledge and appreciate various concepts of biology.
Our state-of-the-art Physics laboratory is equipped with modern equipments to help the students learn the concepts of Physics with experiments. It is designed to give practice of taking measurements, analysing data and drawing inferences while the students experiment.
The lab is very well equipped with instruments, like- meter bridges, battery eliminators, potentiometers, Hooke’s apparatus, etc. One can also observe the resonance condition that so often proves attractive and interactive. The pin-boards on each wall are decorated with very suitable charts, maps, illustrations and quotes and at the same time various models, made by the students, are exhibited all around the lab. One just cannot resist loving both the lab and the subject as the aura of Physics seems to besiege the invader.
What makes its significance even stronger is the presence of the students and the teacher.
In continuing efforts to equip students with proficiency in communication skills, the school has installed Language Lab. The school has been providing various platfroms to develop and refine the students’ second language efficiency.The installation of the lab has been an important step to provide an opportunity for the students to learn basic phonetics in accordance with the IPA (International Phonetic Association). The lab has provided another dimension to language learning as it makes learning easy and interesting. The lab is an extension of the ICT system (TeachNext) that has been installed in the school. It is connected to the TeachNext server which provides the needed software. The students have started exploiting this given opportunity to their benefit. The lab will go a long way in enhancing the cadets efficiency in their second language.
It is important to note that while in science experiments provide evidence for hypotheses or theories, this is not so in mathematics.
Mathematical truths are accepted only on the basis of proofs, and not through experiment.
Therefore the maths lab provides an opportunity for the students to discover mathematics through doing. Many of the activities present a problem or a challenge, with the possibility of generating further challenges and problems. The activities help students to visualize, manipulate and reason. They provide opportunity to make conjectures and test them, and to generalize observed patterns. They create a context for students to attempt to prove their conjectures.
The school aims at keeping the students abreast with the advancement of technology and globalization. Hence, the school’s endeavour is to provide enriching learning experiences that fill the young learners’ minds with curiosity, creativity and desire to discover. In this regard the school has started The Atal Tinkering Lab.
ATL is a workspace where young minds give shape to their ideas through hands on do-it-yourself mode; and learn innovation skills. Young children get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand the concepts of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). ATL contain educational and learning ‘do it yourself’ kits and equipment on – science, electronics, robotics, open-source microcontroller boards, sensors and 3D printers and computers.

KCM World School features two full-fledged libraries. The libraries provide quiet and tranquil environs where children can come to satiate their quest for knowledge. The Junior Library, keeping in mind the younger children, has been designed with colourful furniture and a vibrant environment to make the reading experience enticing.
The libraries at KCM World School are a rich treasure trove of encyclopaedias, illustrated dictionaries, and popular science books along with series such as Tell Me Why and the Book of Knowledge.They are well-stocked with classic, modern and contemporary works of literature in both Hindi and English languages. Moreover, there is a good collection of latest editions in career counseling, personality development, etc.
Apart from books, both the libraries have a decent assortment of CDs of encyclopaedias, reading material on environment awareness topics and a wide range of fiction. The libraries also subscribe to a large number of journals and magazines to help students stay up-to-date with events from around the world as well as discover and explore new career avenues.
With the aim of inculcating a lifelong passion for books and knowledge, we encourage all students to make the most of their library sessions.
Every activity in school life, be it inside the classroom or in the playground, plays a significant role in the development of students. Co-curricular activities are an essential part of school life and help in enhancing the learning process of students at school. These activities are designed and balanced with the academic curriculum so that every student gets to learn beyond subjects. Co-curricular activities are meant to bring social skills, intellectual skills, moral values, personality progress, and character development.
We are using Smart classes at our school – A digital initiative pioneered by Mexus Education. Smart class is surely transforming the way the teachers teach and the students learn in school these days . It’s a new age technology movement that is fast becoming an imperative for schools. Over the last few decades, everything has changed in our lives with the all pervasive intervention of technology. After introducing Mexus’s smart classes at the school it has Improved teacher effectiveness and productivity in class….It has brought about abstract and difficult curriculum concepts to life inside classrooms…..Made learning an enjoyable experience for students…..Improved academic performance of students….. Enabled instant formative assessment of learning outcomes in class…..It has also enabled teachers to instantly assess and evaluate the learning achieved by their students in class.
The auditorium is well furnished with the contemporary state-of-the-art equipment’s with excellent acoustics facilities. These facilities cater to multiple uses such as meetings of students & faculty members, convocations, presentations, short term training programs, workshops, conference, expert / guest lectures, cultural activities, celebrations, functions, gatherings etc.
